Ayman Fahmy

Ayman Fahmy is a professional engineer and professional project manager with 11 years of experience in the district energy field.  He has been actively involved in the design, construction and commissioning of district energy projects in Canada and the Middle East.  He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Design/Industrial) from the American University in Cairo and has worked in different multinational engineering firms and for a major EPC contractor.  Ayman conducted value engineering, design and construction of many district cooling plants for a major district cooling provider in the Middle East (Tabreed National Cooling).  This covered over 10 district cooling plants with a combined design capacity over 250,000 tons.  Ayman was also involved in the design and construction administration of various Energy Transfer Station (ETS) and District Piping System (DPS) connections for Regent Park Energy Inc., Hamilton Community Energy and Markham District Energy.  He also assisted in the concept design of a district heating/cooling plant for Toronto Water Front and is currently working on the design of the UBC district energy system.
