Colin Kristiansen

 Colin Kristiansen has worked in the consulting and municipal environments for over 25 years leading effective teams to plan, design and construct municipal infrastructure. He has a Masters of Business Administration degree with a focus on land use and sustainable development. Prior to consulting, he was Manager of Engineering Services for the City of Chilliwack, reporting to City Council, Public Advisory Committees, and Directors on numerous projects, land developments, operations, capital plans, and policy issues.  Colin has also instructed courses at BCIT on hydrology and hydraulics, covering the assessment of watersheds, the impacts of land use, and the design of water and stormwater infrastructure. Recent experience includes:

Civil Site Servicing - Richmond Olympic Oval (constructed), Sunstone hillside development in Pemberton (designed), and South Britannia development (planned)

Water Systems - East Langley Water Supply project (7km of 900mm steel), Steveston Watermain Replacement Program (150mm to 300mm PVC), David Avenue Connector (600mm DI), Langley 208 St (300mm PVCO), Pender Harbour Water Treatment Plant (DAF)

Sewage Systems - Burnaby Combined Sewer Seperation Willingdon Area (200mm to 600mm), Metro Vancouver Carvolth Sewer Rehabilitation design (1200mm CIPP liner), Delta Santiary Trunk Forcemain (900mm HDPE)

Stormwater Management - UniverCity ISMP at SFU, ponds ,reuse, and infiltration facilities for the Richmond Olympic Oval, 1800mm RC diversion pipe in Coquitlam, habitat enhancements on Coquitlam River.

Roads - Hastings Street Reconstruction (6 lanes, heavy traffic), Westminster Highway Widening (4 lanes plus separate bike path), 40km of industrial site access roads.

Flood Protection - Planning and dike construction in Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, New Westminster, and Furry Creek.
