Jason Vine

Jason Vine has been with KWL for 16 years now, after 3 years at Metro Vancouver.  Jason has a M.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering, specializing in hydraulics.  Early in his career he focused on dynamic sewer modelling of the regional sewer system.  A need to model the wet weather response of the system led to a thorough understanding of inflow & infiltration (I&I) analysis, while a love of technology kept him involved in SCADA system upgrades aimed at simplifying the end user experience.

As a consultant with KWL, frustration with the lack of tools in the industry to handle and analyze massive amounts of data collected from various dataloggers and SCADA systems led him to the creation of KWL Emerald, which garnered a CEBC Award of Merit in 2007.  After launching FlowWorks, the upgraded successor to KWL Emerald, he now remains actively involved in I&I analysis, dynamic sewer system modeling and flow monitoring programs.  He also engages in research and development in a wide range of areas related to technology and Civil engineering.
