Mark S. Blamey

Mark S. Blamey, P.Eng., P.E., MBA, is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in Mechanical Engineering (B.A.Sc. 1982), and the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto (MBA 1996).  He has worked for several consulting firms, including Cobalt Engineering in roles from Project Manager to Managing Partner and CEO.   

As a consulting mechanical engineer specializing in building services, he has worked on projects across North America and as far afield as Russia, the Czech Republic, Dubai, and the Philippines.  His experience includes large and complex projects such as Canada Place in Vancouver, the Life Sciences Building Renovation at UC Berkeley, a central plant replacement for Kodak in Toronto (which included a 4 MW cogeneration system), and the Sauder School of Business renovation and expansion at UBC.  Always interested in energy conservation and sustainability, Mark has completed numerous studies for the Ministry of Energy in Ontario, worked with Energy Service companies (ESCOs), and evaluated and/or designed District Energy Systems for a number of clients.

Mark is committed to mentorship and developing the next generation of leaders.  He also has a unique, long-term interest in sports psychology.  He is a goal-oriented, progressive, future focused leader with a hands-on approach and proven expertise in organizational development, operational performance, and staff motivation.
