KWL designed and oversaw construction of the Aldrin Pump Station (formerly Duthie Pump Station). The station was constructed to augment the supply of water to Burnaby Mountain, and to the surrounding zones (Curtis-Duthie and Pandora). It replaced the aging Curtis Pump Station. The station is located alongside an Urban Trail within a residential area and is considered a “post-disaster” facility.

The building features cross-laminated timber panel construction, a green roof, and sound-reducing ventilation systems. Should additional capacity be required, there is room for another pump within the station.
