Halifax Water – Green Thermal Utility Wastewater Heat Recovery

Project Highlights

KWL was a sub-consultant on a feasibility study to retrofit three Halifax Wastewater Treatment Plants with heat recovery technology.  The project involved assessment of viable heat recovery locations and system design for a network to distribute thermal energy to customers.  KWL quantified potential DES limits and linked energy sources/user demands by using GIS modelling tools.
